El Espíritu del Sapo cuenta la historia de Otipe, el segundo hijo de Tembale, miembro de la tribu de los Yibas. Cada cierto tiempo, el Espíritu de la Serpiente que mora en el bosque exige a los Yibas que cumplan el ritual del Torrente. Durante estos días todo el poblado se moviliza para estar a la altura de los deseos de su terrorífico Dios. Otipe asistirá a todo este proceso en el que las tradiciones y la magia trazan la frontera entre la vida y la  muerte. Al fin y al cabo los Dioses no oyen la voz humana y los Yibas han de hablar a través de sus actos.

El Espíritu del Sapo es un webcomic que cuenta una historia fantástica ambientada en las selvas amazónicas y protagonizada por la tribu de los Yibas. Esta tribu es totalmente ficticia aunque algunos aspectos estéticos y culturales están tomados de tribus actuales como los Matis, Dislala o Yanomami.

Las actualizaciones del Espíritu del Sapo serán de una página a la semana debido a que el tiempo que le puedo dedicar al cómic es muy limitado. Para no perderte ninguna actualización puedes seguir el webcómic vía RSS y tu lector de feeds te avisará automáticamente.

The Toad's Spirit tells the story of Otipe, second son of Tembale, member of the Yiba tribe. Every so often , The Snake's Spirit that dwells in the forest, demands that the Yibas complete the Stream's ritual. During these days the whole tribe has to work hard to fulfil the desires of their terrible God. Otipe will witness the whole process in which tradition and magic can be the difference between life and dead. After all, the Gods won't listen to the human voice and the Yibas have to talk through their actions.

In the Toad's Spirit webcomic you will find the fantastic story of the Yiba tribe, set in the amazonian rainforest. This tribe is absolutly fictional, but some of the aesthetic and cultural aspects represented in the pages are taken from current tribes such as the Matis, Dislala or Yanomami.
